Wow, has it been that long?

It must have been. I haven't updated in forever, as a friend so gently pointed out...here I am again!

Busy but amazing summer. May we were in Paris, France, visiting my sister and family. June, July and August we had almost non-stop guests - there was a reason we bought a four bedroom house! September we decided, quite suddenly, to go to Orlando and Disney - what a blast! Got back, got promoted, and now have next to no time online. That's the only problem.

Disney was excellent. We stayed on site at Pop Century, and used Magical Express from and to the airport. What was nicest was that our luggage was picked up and forwarded to our rooms without us having to wait at the carousel or anything! We checked in, washed up a bit and headed off to the park. Got back at 10:30 and there it all was, sitting there. People onsite get to take advantage of the bus system, which was very well organized, and have stuff they buy sent to the resort rather than schlepping it around. We made a habit of being in the parks at 9 - 10 am, leaving at 1 or so, back at 3 or 4 and leaving when it closed. The break gave us a chance to swim and have lunch, and because it was September and offseason we really didn't have to wait for a thing!

Now back to reality and the new job - more work, more judgement calls. More sticking out my neck, but hey - it's what I've been working towards.

Many people to catch up with, but meantime take care! I must go and write some letters. It's Thanksgiving weekend for us Canucks, so there's a bit of fowl that needs taking care of...and some pumpkin pie. I can say, without a lick of shame, that I make a superb pumpkin pie.
